Please be advised of the following regarding swimming lessons in the summer.

We understand that many families register their children for swimming lessons during the summer. We totally support this as swimming is a critical life skill!! At times though, these lessons may cause you to drop your child off late at forest school.  Please be aware that we are not able to accommodate daily late drop offs or daily pick ups and drop offs during the middle of the day as we often are not at our base camps during the course of the day; we are out on the land playing and exploring. We are unable to send staff back to get your child if we are already out as this compromises group safety.

If you are willing to track us down in the bush, that is wonderful, but otherwise you may have to choose between swimming lessons and forest school.

We appreciate your understanding regarding this matter.

Our summer day camps will be offered in three locations this year! While each site is unique, they all allow for a day camp experience that will connect your child to the wonders of the Georgian Bay Biosphere through activities such as exploring water creatures like frogs and turtles, tree climbing, camp skills (fires, whittling...), observing nature and going for long unhurried wanders across the land.  Our day camps are child-led and emphasise helping children connect with the land and each other as they navigate age-appropriate risk, develop perseverance and grow fine and gross motor skills.
